Abstract

The global challenge of climate change requires collective action and international cooperation. As environmental crises transcend national borders, climate change governance necessitates coordinated efforts from international stakeholders. This paper examines the role of international cooperation in addressing climate change, drawing lessons from the evolution of global climate governance structures, such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement. The article discusses the critical mechanisms, agreements, and the political and economic challenges faced in global negotiations, offering insights into how collaborative strategies can be enhanced for effective climate action. The study highlights the importance of shared responsibility, financial support, and technological transfer in facilitating global cooperation to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Lessons from successful international frameworks are considered, emphasizing the need for equitable and inclusive climate governance in an interconnected world.
