Abstract
Climate change is one of the most critical challenges of our time, requiring an integrated, multi-sectoral approach for effective mitigation and adaptation. The role of multi-sectoral governance, encompassing a range of actors, from local governments to national policymakers, is essential in addressing the climate crisis in a comprehensive manner. This paper investigates the influence of multi-sectoral governance frameworks on climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies in Pakistan through a case study approach. The study examines key institutional arrangements, policy dynamics, and governance structures to determine their effectiveness in implementing climate change responses. By analyzing various regional and sectoral case studies, this paper provides valuable insights into how collaborative governance efforts can enhance adaptive capacity and resilience in the face of climate risks. The findings highlight the importance of integrating diverse sectors such as energy, agriculture, water resources, and urban planning to achieve long-term climate resilience.
