Abstract

The ongoing climate crisis demands urgent policy solutions to manage carbon emissions and facilitate low-carbon transitions for sustainable development. This paper examines key strategies in carbon management, including carbon capture and storage (CCS), renewable energy adoption, and energy efficiency. By evaluating the role of governmental and institutional frameworks, the study also provides insights into effective policies for fostering low-carbon economies, particularly in developing countries such as Pakistan. With a focus on the local context, it explores challenges, opportunities, and technological solutions that can contribute to a carbon-neutral future. The integration of these solutions into national development plans is essential for achieving sustainable growth while mitigating the effects of climate change.
